The vibe around EFC is pretty toxic ATM.
There's the whiff of Usmanov lingering (a number of managers claim he was present at their interviews before the sanctions and gave the impression that he owned the club).
Moshiri doesn't seem to have a clue about running a football.
A number of fans are not too chuffed having a betting company name splashed across the players chests and around the stadium.
It looks like that vibe has leaked onto the pitch.
Dyche has one hell of a job there.
A may be imagining it but he seems a bit less dynamic in his interviews, not the guy from the Burnley days, bristling with energy and confidence.

Qarabag Fk v Olimpija? It's had a few suspensions, left it suspended after VAR overturned a pen decision for a couple of mins as well, I've turned it off n put Racing League on ITV4
Yeah, I wasn't watching it but it suspended about 10 times in the first two minutes. I thought any bet I placed might be my last.Michael5482 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 31, 2023 5:55 pmQarabag Fk v Olimpija? Yeah but Yellows can't be appealed ... my problem with the first yellow for timewasting was that he threw in after 8 seconds ... he wasn't the timewaster. The FA need to sort out how to apply a yellow card if the a team is generally wasting time. It's unfair to pick on just one player especially when that player is not the main culprit.
Exactly, they're idiotically trying to single players out to set an example early on. They don't understand that teams hired a throw-in coach who specifically instructed the players to wait slightly longer for space to open up before throwing the ball randomly, can forget about that aspect of the game now.firlandsfarm wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2023 12:05 pmYeah but Yellows can't be appealed ... my problem with the first yellow for timewasting was that he threw in after 8 seconds ... he wasn't the timewaster. Next Liverpool match as well, the ref made a complete meal out of the game, missed the obvious Gordon foul for the push on Trent and booked the latter instead. Then he wimped out when he was supposed to book Trent again
In basically every EPL game I've seen thus far the ref has tried to be the main character in the game, they should be NPCs at best, they're absolute and complete idjits. Howard Webb or someone needs to sort this out asap.

Just wanted to add to my earlier post ... Another problem with VAR is it is statistically biased towards the defending team. In the main checks are only made when a goal is scored and if the attacking team has done something wrong the goal is disallowed but what about when a foul or an offside decision is wrongly made against the attacking team. The referee blows, the game is stopped and the defending team have a free kick. It's not checked so any error in awarding against the attacking team cannot 'even itself out'. But if it was how would the game restart, any advantage the attacking team had would be lost. The winner of such incorrect decisions can only be the defending team.firlandsfarm wrote: ↑Mon Aug 21, 2023 9:32 amAgreed but to me the problem with the way VAR is used is that the 'obvious error' requirement is ignored and the VAR team look for the tiniest infringement! The obvious one is Offside ... there is no way that to be 1mm offside is an "obvious error". Look at how cricket apply the technology ... generally the umpire has to be incorrect by half the width of the ball (OK, you then get 1mm over or under half the width of the ball but it still leaves a margin for 'obvious' and before anyone chips-in I'm not looking for half the width of a football!)
