Hi guys I would greatly appreciate your help.
I have an automation file that runs inplay where I’m laying a horse at the odds of $1.51 when certain conditions are met in the hopes that it will lose, resulting in a profit for me.
I noticed that where the third favourite SP is $10 or less, that this would eliminate some of my losses.
I was wondering if I could get help on setting this up? I can’t for the life of me figure like how to do it because if I set up a condition saying fixed odds where third favourite SP is below $10, that won’t do the trick because I play favourite order can change drastically.
Is the answer in the stored values perhaps? I just can’t seem to figure it out and would appreciate your help
How do I set up pre-off favourites sorted by SP in in play automation ?
Take a look at the Fixed the order of market selections rule. That should solve your problem.SmashiT wrote: ↑Tue Sep 05, 2023 1:33 amHi guys I would greatly appreciate your help.

Hi Derek,
Thank you so much for responding.
I think I need to initially fix the order of market selection so that third favourite SP is under $10
I will then need to unfix the order of market selection when the race goes I play so my normal rule can trigger
How do I go about linking the two ? Would I have to do this through signals ?

You can fix the order of the market so it doesn't change but you can't choose what price the third favourite is. It will be what it is, or have I misunderstood?SmashiT wrote: ↑Tue Sep 05, 2023 2:27 amHi Derek,

You don't need to unfix the market when it goes in-play. The point behind fixing the market is that if you back the third favourite before the race, you can lay the "horse that was" the third favourite regardless of what price it is and close your trade, rather than laying the 3rd fav now, which would be a different horse.
I've just posted two other methods you can use to a similar question hereSmashiT wrote: ↑Tue Sep 05, 2023 1:33 amHi guys I would greatly appreciate your help.

Hi guys, sorry for not being as clear before. I meant to say that I have a current rule where I lay the 1st favourite at the odds of 1.51 if certain criteria's are met aka criteria's that hopefully indicate that the first favourite may not finish the race. I am more or less trading at break even but I noticed that if the third favourite SP is less than 10, then the odds of my first rule being matched and then not winning the race is higher (meaning i will make a profit)
I basically wanted to add a rule of some sort that would mean that my first rule wont trigger if the third favourite SP was greater than 10.
I think i have manged to do this now with a signal where the signal rule type is "Fix order of market condition"
I willl give this a go and see if it does what I want it to do. I should be in a position to update this thread within 24 hours as I will continuously be reviewing my bets.

Just replied to this message on that thread also (albeit I didn't remember where the query originated from at the time)SmashiT wrote: ↑Tue Sep 05, 2023 12:26 pmHi guys, sorry for not being as clear before. Hi Dallas,
You were right offcourse. My signals still resulted in a bet triggering where third favourite pre inplay was greater than $10 BSP

That should do it, if not and you want to attach the file rather than type out the details It'll also be easier for me to look at and spot anything I've missed
