Scotland v England "friendly". Pointless encounter.
Why am I so wound up? Trust me, I love Scotland. Their desire to leave the Union hurts, but it's their choice. But England losing to Scotland at footy is not something I can countenance.

I like what the Scots have done with the shirt they'll wear tonight selling it limited edition in a lovely little commemorative special edition box, a certificate and a little bottle of whiskey, England can only be bothered to put together a training top which you can't buy and its one of the best England tops they've produced.

Hope the England players understand this ain't no friendly, straight into them and quieten the crowd because the atmosphere will be electric, Hampden is an intimidating place to go for us English.

Hope tonight can be a catalyst to bring back the home nations tournament.

Tuesday night scheduling. Do you think that will calm things?
It is weird. I don't want any nasty stuff to happen. But a proper encounter would be really entertaining.

No mincing about straight at em they'll be right up for it. Can't even hear the English national anthem because of the atmosphere, hopefully a proper old school game of football tackles flying in all over.

Robertson epitomises what you want from an intertational player, passionate and steady. I can't believe how wound up I am over a friendly.
But good luck to both,
This is exactly the place for Kane to show how good he is..

With Scotland in form, I was a bit apprehensive about how this would go.

Pleased he got his goal probably not easy going over to Bayern people will be wanting him to fail but he's started off well and England form is as good as ever. We'll get Euro 2024 out of him no problem.

Only problem I have with England is can they do it when it matters and Southgate with his negative tactics it's OK tonight when the goals come but when they don't and we need one he's shit scared of going for it.

Yeah, but listening to the ITV panel 'Bellenam' played better ;)

*oops Channel 4 not ITV

That's the end for Maguire IMO. He could have put that ball almost anywhere else. Launch it for a corner , twist to clear for a thrown-in or corner.
But instead a deadly hit that took Ramsdale out of the game. The guy is wonky, something not right abiout him.

That result (1-3) perhaps reflects Aston Villa's demolition of Hibs. I'm not happy about this but there seems to be a huge gap between English and Scottish top flight footy. It's a bit barmy. I know for certain that Scots love footy. But perhaps money talks.
A population of 5 million just can't generate the money to compete with England, Germany, France, Italy etc.

Why was Maguire getting "Olay" shouts whenever he received the ball?
