King John 1 travelling 700 miles by train to meet Putin. Don't they have planes in North Korea?

The bird in the Bentley certainly floats my boat. :D

He's quite safe.Trundle around China to Vladivostok at a leisurely 80kmh max. What the hell is Putin doing aligning himself with a recognised global nutcase? How desperate do you have to be to seek out a relationship with the World's biggest looney?

The reason the train is crawling, it's not the heavy armour that the North Koreans would have you believe, it's the amount of food loaded onto it to sustain the fat git.

I'd guess it would be too easy for a "rogue" missile to down a plane

Putin thought he'd have to put up with Kim Jong Un for two days. He ended up stuck with him for a week.

So Joe Biden finally agrees to send ATACMS to Ukraine, they should have been sent over a year ago. Old Joe's prevarication is absolutely deplorable.

Incremental escalation init, the timings have to be right to minimize risk of further escalation, like a delicately balanced tug of war.

British Storm Shadow missiles have been wreaking havoc almost daily now, hitting targets like submarines and major HQ's in recent days, absolutely remarkable. But the slower the conflict the bigger the damage to the Russian war machine long term, they could take decades to recover from these losses.

How I imagine Putin's routine every morning

A year ago they were worried about getting dragged into a war with Russia. Those worries have probably disappeared now.

Not sure it was worth it a year ago, would've cost too much political capital for minimal battlefield bottom line

I'm relatively content with the situation overall, Ukraine complaining they never get enough support is a good de-escalating narrative, and so is Elon Musk playing devil's advocate and giving Russia some hope for "peace" but all they do is send their army into the giant killzone that is Ukraine where it's being systematically destroyed by superior weaponry, even their equipment inside Russia is no longer safe
