The Tory party used to be the party for tax cuts. Now they're the party for tax cuts "when the time is right". :)

All of our natural gas comes from underground. That is a disgrace!

Think the bulk comes from Norway. We burn gas to produce electricity....

I can't wait to see how the Tories will try to sell themselves as the party of change after 13 years in power

That's always been a problem for any party in power for a long-time.
Labour lost power after 13 years, and Kinnock thought the Tories would in 1992 too, until he completely blew it at the Sheffield university rally

Manchester leg of HS2 expected to be scrapped. That won't help the Tory northern vote.

Doubt they were getting it anyway so may as well try to save some money and concentrate elsewhere is probably there logic. I see they've blamed HS2 consortiums for wasting money but ultimately the Government employed them, are responsible for them and should have been ensuring value for money from day one but they've let private firms run riot with public once again.

Without looking HS2 will be like most Government departments and probably had about 8 ministers since it's inception. It's like a club getting a new manger in every 10 games and constantly wondering why your still rock bottom and getting worse every week.

Am beginning to think all these clips from the conservative conference should be on a comedy / entertainment channel not the news one (if it wasn't so worrying)...

It seems the only sensible choice Sunak has made was his wife. :)
Sunak's confirmed, it is the best decision he's made.

Sunak brands breaking their levelling-up promise as "ending the HS2 drama".
