I wanted to wait till the end of my trading day to say this so I didn't curse myself but I've found it pretty good. I just think the money has come later than normal because of the clashes and the races all being on RUK, except I suppose those races that had a 15 minute gap infront of them which IMO never makes it ideal anyway.

How on earth do you make those figures, please advise if you will
thanks
Alan

"Those figures" are pretty poor in comparation to real fulltimers and tbh I felt I lost my edge lately as my last 30 days P&L is much below "0" which is quite shocking after being successfull for the last 2 years. Answering Your question - I have follwed weight of money mostly, when I 'felt' it was real. Sometimes I took speculative position with several ticks stop loss in my head and being patient waiting for the move to develop.alanthespurs wrote:How on earth do you make those figures, please advise if you will

I've had the chance to look at Saturday's data and there was something very quirky with it.
Friday seemed normal as did Sunday but Saturday was odd. I guess some of it comes down to how it affects your trading style but for me it will go down as an odd day.

What do you mean by quirky/odd? Can you elaborate a bit?Euler wrote:I've had the chance to look at Saturday's data and there was something very quirky with it.

Yeah I traded yesterday and it felt 'normal' again, but Saturday definitely felt unusual.

Could it be that one key player wasn't trading do you think?
I thought the fill rate late on was pretty good, better than recently for sure, at least that's how it felt to me. Earlier on it was weak for sure due to the clashes.
The only other thing was that it felt subjectively to me like there was a bit less spoofing and pushing the prices around as much, which I suppose would mean a bit less volume overall, but isn't the sort that I personally 'enjoy' anyway if you know what I mean

That's always the suspicion - I just wonder whether they are trying out certain tweaks to the order matching algorithm on certain days.Innertube wrote:Hands up who things Betfair are in their own markets![]()
