Hi there,

Fairly new to automation...

Could someone tell me please if it's possible to use 2 (or more) bots against a single market? For example, I'd like to use a correct score bot on the correct score market, but I'd also like to use a dutching bot I am developing on the correct score market. Is it possible to run both bots simultaneously on the correct score market? If so, how do I go about this?

Thanks All,

Paul

Yes it's possible Paul, you just have 2 rulesets running, one for each tactic but ... you have to think very carefully how one ruleset may affect the other. For example, if one has a "No. of matched/unmatched bets" condition or similar then matched/unmatched bets of the other ruleset will affect if the condition is met. There are many other possibilities for such a clash with greening-up perhaps the most troublesome. A green-up rule will look at your whole position in the market and not just the bets related to one ruleset.

Thank you, that's very helpful. I hadn't considered a clash, particularly around greening. I will keep this in mind.

All the best.

Automation is affected by manual trades too. Although Betfair provide the facility to have multiple independent strategies BA doesn't. It also 'sees' and affects strategies executed outside of BA. Eg if you ask it to green then it'll green your account not just the strategy.

Thank you Shaun. Something else I will factor in.
