Always good to wake up to some green wasn't massive but will pay for a little session on the neck oil this weekend.
Tory's absolutely spanked, they know the games up, No wonder Sunak went to the Middle East he knew they were getting slaughtered. It's no conscience the day the Covid Inquiry reveal Sunak's nickname in What's App messages during the pandemic was Dr Death he's out the country and looses 2 by-elections.
As a good will gesture I'm going to give away my profitable "Lay the Tory" strategy away for free so here it is:
When you see there is a by-election or during the next general election lay the Tory's using liability staking in every seat. The "secret sauce" is that they've ruined the country for 13 years, told lots of lies, behaved disgracefully, handed millions away in bogus PPE contracts, assisted in polluting our rivers and seas, made people choose between heating and eating along with lots of other negative things so when you add it all up public opinion is not on there side and by some distance. If your a newbie maybe filter some of your stake out to build up confidence as the price lengthens but I prefer to let the trade ride as a bet.

Be a little while yet they have to wait to see if there are any appeals, re-counts called etc I can't remember what the window for these are to lodge them (it's not a massive one as I recall) but due process has to fully play out.
tbh getting close to market closure I was laying the lib dems as there price was lengthening, clearly out of it. but i guess it delpends seat by seat.Michael5482 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 20, 2023 8:07 amWhen you see there is a by-election or during the next general election lay the Tory's using liability staking in every seat.
Dont think even in 95-97 were they (the Cons) in such a grim electoral state.
possibility of by elections in Blackpool South and Wellingborough as well.
they all done., the counts are completed.Michael5482 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 20, 2023 8:23 amBe a little while yet they have to wait to see if there are any appeals, re-counts called etc I can't remember what the window for these are to lodge them (it's not a massive one as I recall) but due process has to fully play out.

To use a horse racing analogy Red Rum has won the 16.00 at Aintree everyone seen he crossed the line 1st, he's the winner but every horse race has the potential for a stewards enquiry which could effect the outcome including Red Rum's win. Betfair pay the actual outcome after a stewards enquiry if one is needed not the winner everyone seen cross the line so until their is confirmation of no stewards enquiry which could potentially change the outcome they don't pay out no matter how unlikely this may seem.iggypop37 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 20, 2023 8:26 amthey all done., the counts are completed.Michael5482 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 20, 2023 8:23 amBe a little while yet they have to wait to see if there are any appeals, re-counts called etc I can't remember what the window for these are to lodge them (it's not a massive one as I recall) but due process has to fully play out.
When the stewards confirm no enquiry the outcome is then confirmed they payout. Unfortunately horse racing is a little bit quicker than politics so you have to be a little bit more patient with political markets to get your money.

I seem to recall the last by-election settled mid afternoon (and result was not even remotely close)
edit - and was in-play right up to (almost) point they settled..

when the declaration is made - as it was in these 2 cases early morning UK time, that is it, the election is over and the winner called, and all parties have agreed to this.Michael5482 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 20, 2023 9:35 amTo use a horse racing analogy Red Rum has won the 16.00 at Aintree everyone seen he crossed the line 1st, he's the winner but every horse race has the potential for a stewards enquiry which could effect the outcome including Red Rum's win. It may be the case in the WEEKS and MONTHS that follow that irregularities are spotted, but these are extremely rare.

I agree he shouldn't have given him any post if he knew but did he ... a PM has more important things to think about than gossip in Westminster or this forum!Derek27 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 18, 2023 5:55 pmHe shouldn't. That's why I said, of course Buffoon Boris didn't know anything about it when he made him deputy leader.
Edit: just read sionascaig's post. Should have known better.![]()
