BITCOIN as an alternative to regular currency

I don't really think that can become a full-time real currency alternative.

and it had just recovered to where it was a week or so ago before the hacked twitter post that it was not going ahead caused it to tumble

Yeah - these tokens have done amazingly well over the last yr especially.
I am now 5% net worth invested, having accumulated over last 2 yrs.
Wouldnt surprise me to lose 50% - or even gain 50% in next 5yrs.

I only took my first leap last January but since have started acquiring some alt currencies too, but this week my BTC investment doubled.
It was always meant as a long term investment for me, sort of see where were at in 10ys-15yrs
Be interesting too see what happens in April when its halved again, many saying its probably going to double again or even more by the end of 2024
