The chair of the inquiry needs to use the toilet, 10-minute adjournment.

Why not try to reign back your own language, no need for the expletives....
Lots of offensive inference and language on the forum today.
Anonymity causes it, people usually moderate themselves when they're talking face-to-face to perfect strangers.

You are obsessed with bowel movements :D

But a slightly funny aside, my Mrs does some work for someone at the UN....When they schedule a comfort break it's know as a "Bio break" :? Frankly I think that sounds like tmi.

I'm staggered watching all this, I knew the Tory's were bad but this is incompetence of the highest order. It just shows you why the country is in such a sorry state with these idiots running it.

The sad thing about all this is it was peoples lives these idiots were playing with and they still don't care.

You've got a dirty mind, I was talking about needing a wee!

The reason I thought of it, when I was on jury service the judge asked us if anyone needs to use the toilet. I thought it was a daft question as nobody's likely to say so no matter how desperate they are, you just wait until somebody else needs to go, but the judge decided to have a break anyway. The general consensus amongst jurors was that she needed to go. :)

Cummings ended by apologising for his terrible language. Too flipping right!

I never watch mainstream news media. I just come on here. Dex should be BA's news media Tsar.

I hope barristers are trawling through all the buffoon's comments and considering any possibility of criminal charges. The idea of allowing older people to die for the sake of the economy is Nazi policy.

Anyway the big difference is that as you say she did as she said she would whereas Labour are already stepping back from promises, saying they will not be doing as they said they would ... same old Labour always lying!
So you'd rather have a PM that promises to wreak the economy and does it, than one that goes back on their promise.

The Buffoon promised to look after people during the Covid crisis. It now appears he was happy to let elderly people die for the benefit of their grandchildren and the economy!

By the way, No. 10's nickname for the buffoon was the trolley. He may be a complete headcase with no shame or respect, even from people who work closely to him, but who cares? He was a vote winner.

Boris Johnson agreed with some Tory MPs who thought Covid was "nature's way of dealing with old people", the inquiry into the pandemic has been told.

Is anyone really that surprised knowing what we know about the character of the man

I thought, and I'm sure most people on this forum thought, I couldn't possibly hate that disgusting scumbag any more than I already did. It just goes to show, there is no limit to how low people can sink.

Most people with that attitude who end up experiencing the sharp end of Covid and coming close to death would realise they were wrong. But as a true narcissist, he's unable to make any connection with what he's said or done and the consequences of his actions. One day he's thanking nurses for saving his life and clapping for them, another day he's partying and encouraging the spread of the virus while the rest of the nation is in lockdown. It's stomach-turning stuff.

Oh dear Derek, you need to untwist your knickers! Can't decide who to blame for wrecking the economy, you are now blaming BJ when before it was LT, do you have a trolley?

It's so funny how many have recently qualified for a Professorship of Hindsight. One of the questions that should have been asked at the time was ... how many dead if X and how many dead if Y. The trouble is the Hindsighters have either never been responsible for solving a problem or have a season ticket for bandwagons so latch on to right and proper questions and exploit the naivety of others.

I don't need to untwist my knickers, you need to learn to read posts. What I said about the Buffoon was on a separate paragraph and related to breaking promises, not who wreaked the economy. You think only Labour break manifestos so I was just pointing out the Tories are equally proficient at it.

I struggle to see how saving 11m on a journey time (Lon to Man) can ever be a viable cost. Better off spending the money making sure the trains run on time, are clean, plenty of seats etc

HS2 Times.png
agreed but plenty of seats means plenty of trains and plenty of trains means plenty of rails (and drivers prepared to drive them!) ... the West Coat Mainline is at saturation, we need more capacity which means we need more track and if we have to build more track might as make it high speed, can you imaging the criticism if we build new tracks to the slow speed specification.
