Hi Betangels,
Currently i'm struggling with the following.. I have a green up (green all profit condition) condition set, but sometimes the odds move a bit between Guardian triggering the rule and the bet being processed (i guess).
I've tried to conquer this issue by having Guardian trigger the rule twice (or thrice), but sometimes this makes the back bet being match two or three times, which is bad because I simply want one backbet to green up my trade, not one or two extra bets that make me be in the trade still.. What I would want is Guardian only triggerin the second time if the first time goes unmatched.. Anybody have any idea? Thanks in advance!
Regards.
greening up, bet not getting matched, what to do?
If greening up in-play you need to allow for betfairs in-play betting delay, when greening up it will cancel any unmatched bets in the market including previous green up bets
But if you green up again before the first has reached the market while waiting for Betfairs in-play delay then it can't be cancelled, you'll then at some point end up with two green up bets in the market (more if you keep triggering the rule)
There is an option on the General tab of the rules editor which will add 'Betfair in-play delay' to your re-arm time, using that with at least a 1 second re-arm time means you shouldn't end up having more than one bet placed
Its worth remembering if the stake is below Betfair's minimum then the in-play delay doubles so you would need to add that to your re-arm time

Sounds like you're trying to green up in-play in a market with an enforced Betfair delay? In volatile in-play markets (eg horse racing) many people won't ever use a green-up command due to facing the issues that you have seen. The market will move during the bet delay period, leaving some of your greening trades unmatched. Worse still, if the market moves against you then the greening trades you want to match will likely never do so, while the trades you don't want to match will.
Thank you, very insightfull!
Dalles, this 'Betfair in-play delay' that you are speaking of, I cannot find it..
In the general tab for me it just says:
rule name
rule type (green all selections)
rule trigger times (which i've put in-play time)
allow rule to trigger up to
nowhere I see this option, what precisely do you mean...? :-$

I think better you have to place reverse greening bet immediately after your first back(or lay) bet been matched entirely. And thus your bet could be waiting in queue to be accepted when the price reaches it.
