Automation - what am I doing wrong?
Folks, apologies for another automation question but I am pulling my hair out here. I am trying to trade tennis matches shortly after they turn in play and am attempting to use automation for this. Everything is set up for this except that I have to uncheck the confirm bets box every time I log on despite me thinking I am saving this request i.e I'm pressing either "save" or "save as". What else do I have to do to keep the box unchecked please? My own Betfair page is always unticked but BA doesn't seem to recognise this. Also, it appears that every time I log off, despite keeping my selections on Guardian, the confirm bets box resets to being checked which is something I don't want and the trades do not get put on. I want to be able to select the matches, set up Guardian and log off as some games will be overnight. Do I have to keep my computer on all the time to keep the wretched box unticked or am I blundering down the wrong alley?

Guardian operates from your PC. It is not remote. Therefore your computer needs to be switched on for Guardian to trigger trades.MrJeeves wrote: ↑Mon Nov 06, 2023 5:30 pmFolks, apologies for another automation question but I am pulling my hair out here. When you start-up Guardian you have to select which 'settings' version you want to use. Perhaps you are loading up the original settings rather than your saved version?
Just to add to that sleep/hibernation mode needs disabling so they don't kick in after its been left unattended for a while, its OK for your screen to be turned off, but as James said you need to maintain an active connection between your PC and Betfair at all times
I actually read that as the bet confirmation box preventing automated bets going on. If so, once you untick the confirmation box in behaviour and hit save, also do a Settings, Save settings, on the main BA screen. That will ensure you don't have to untick again on a BA restart
