Hello,
Just to be clear, I’m not interested in any comments from those people on the forum who are complete tossers, you know who you are. Hate this forum, so many arseholes on here giving smart remarks, taking the piss if someone is less experienced. If you are one of those people don’t reply to this. If you do then you have outed yourself as a prize tosser. I will hunt you down.
For those decent people on here, sorry about that, thanks for persevering. I’m interested to know if when you look at a market with somewhere around 5 to 10 mins before race schedule start time, do you feel you have a good idea how the odds will go based on the odds of each horse and the weight of money for each one?
I’ve been doing a lot of research into seeing how markets move based on the make up of odds and money bet, I am seeing patterns but of course no two markets are the same.
Thanks for any good advice.
Do you have a good idea how a market will go…

For a moment I was in awe of this opening post. I thought Tyson FURY had joined the community. Obviously I'm a big, big fan of course.
But to get back on topic and answer your question "Do you have a good idea how a market will go ..."
No, but I can imagine where this topic will end up

Have you watched Pete's horse trading video's in his 'trading courses' section?
I was honestly trying to help you out with your previous post. Apologies again if it came across otherwise.Stavros wrote: ↑Thu Nov 09, 2023 11:14 pmHello,

I have watched some of Pete’s videos, I like his videos, they give me encouragement that there is money to be made here. I love sports betting and trading, I’ll do whatever it takes to master this.
But I don’t find videos that helpful when faced with real life trading, it’s like most things in life - to get good at something you need to learn through experience and gaining knowledge from situations you don’t understand.
I mentioned before that I bought Caan Berry’s video course and it was so poor. Some of his videos he’s sat drinking his tea not saying what he was doing it looking for. I get that even selling a tutorial people will be reluctant to give away the golden nuggets of info. Hence you see on his messageboard it’s very flat.
Anbell, it wasn’t you who pissed me off so don’t feel it was. You have nothing to apologise for.
My original question here was just to get an idea whether people who are successful at this believe it’s important or possible to know how a market will go just from an overview of the odds and money bet so far.

I was going to ask if he watched a training video on manners but I might be one of the tossers he doesn't want a reply from.Estsisps1998 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 10, 2023 7:05 amHave you watched Pete's horse trading video's in his 'trading courses' section?
Perhaps a blacklist of all the members you consider tossers and don't want to hear from would be helpful?
What you don't realise is that your opening post insults people you didn't even mean to. Many people on here will inadvertently think they're tossers.
Yes, you would imagine any experienced prerace specialist to have a rough idea on how market behaves much earlier than that, as you would with other markets, but plenty of work to do still!
Investigate reversion.

Yes, you are one of the tossers I didn’t want a reply from. At least you recognise that you are a tosser. Maybe watch a training video on how to not be a tosser.Derek27 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 10, 2023 10:04 amI was going to ask if he watched a training video on manners but I might be one of the tossers he doesn't want a reply from.Estsisps1998 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 10, 2023 7:05 amHave you watched Pete's horse trading video's in his 'trading courses' section?
I've received a lot of really useful advice on here about trading, coding, using BA and other things. I find the forum really helpful when you need information. Perhaps our different experiences are down to the fact that I didn't start my request by calling a chunk of the forum tossers. Or maybe the non-tossers who could help you didn't preserver reading beyond the abuse in your opening post. Just a thought when asking for help.Stavros wrote: ↑Sat Nov 11, 2023 10:31 pmYes, you are one of the tossers I didn’t want a reply from. At least you recognise that you are a tosser. I disagree with you here Derek. It’s sad that someone who comes on to this forum has such a negative view of many of the posters here that they feel they need to say please don’t reply if you are going to give smart patronising comments.
People can either read my comment and think I want to offer advice and make this guy realise there are decent people here or they can ignore me or make smart comments and re-affirm my opinion of this forum.
It is a shame as I am really interested in pre race trading and are these the sort of people who share a similar passion to me?
