Good afternoon.

I'm hoping someone might be able to help me with what i'm sure is a simple solution.

I've created an automation rule that greens up 30 seconds before the official race start time. At the moment it's a little hit and miss and i'm not sure why on some markets it does not green up my opening position.

The Automation rule is as follows:

Rule Type: Green All Selections
Rule Trigger Times: Relative to Event Start time - Arm Trigger at - 00:00:30 Before event start time - Until 00:00:30 After event start time
Allow rule to trigger up to 100 times - Wait 1 second before rearming
Selection - ANY selection

Thanks in advance.

If you have a lot of markets in guardian and still using the default 1 second refresh rate it likely your market isn't being refreshed quickly enough, this post explains the above further and ways of setting up Guardian so its refreshing as fast as possible

Thanks for your reply Dallas.

I've now changed the refresh interval in guardian to 20 ms.

Usually I load all racing markets on a morning and apply the automation to all of these markets? I'm guessing that this also affects the rate at which it cycles through the markets in guardian? Would it make a difference to just apply the automation to the markets in which I have an open position?

Thanks again

Yes, it will still refresh markets even if they don't have any open trades.
For what your doing 20ms will be fast enough to refresh well over 100 markets so your rule still triggers correctly.

If you have several hundred you can use 'Restricted Refresh' which is detailed near the bottom of that link, you can then focus guardian on only markets about to start and it will ignore the rest - until they get near the start, so you'll only be refreshing a few markets at any one time

Is there a way to hedge automatically inplay after you have entered a trade automatically and then after say 30secs hedge/close out position automatically?

Yes, just set or increment a signal with the back or lay rule
Then on the green up/ close trade rule us a signal changed condition and test its changed between 30secs and 35secs ago

Do I set the signal Value to 30?

Also in the green up close trade rule conditions there is nowhere to enter the signal name only the value. So how will the rule know which signal to use?

And another issue is if i have the entry to fire 2 times if the first trade completes before 30secs. How do I reset the signal to fire again after the first trade is completed and another trade is entered.

Don't matter what value you are using, the condition looks for the time since it changed or was set

You add a 'Signal Changed condition' to the close trade rule
