Betfair Down / Betfair site crash

Good evening,
started using Guardian automation more, wonder what would be the easiest way to get alerted in case of a Betfair API issues or better even turn Guardian off if I’m not around. Any solutions that you have found? Thank you

And last night in AUS there was no BSP figures for Scone 04:40:00 & Kyneton 04:00:00

If streaming had stopped how come your triggers and bet placement were still working - unless triggered entirely by TPD ?

Just another 'hazard' to worry about - a bit like horses falling. Betfair must 'hoover' all those bets up.

You've been 'robbed' Wilf - I bet the 'affordability' checks are not addressing that.
Like Betfair are not going to be ringing you up and saying you've just lost £140 - can you afford that ?

On Bet Angel you can switch between streaming and polling. So when the feed stuck, I just quickly switched to polling.

If streaming had stopped how come your triggers and bet placement were still working - unless triggered entirely by TPD ?

I'm on streaming (didn't switch to polling) and my trade triggers were still actioned in a timely fashion as normal. It just looks like they weren't because bet statuses weren't updating. Judging by the prices I was matched at the actual prices available behaved as normal.

Yeah, I should've just switched. I'm so used to just going to another exchange to cancel the trade. It's ok though, I made it back in the 15:40 so not to bad.
The markets have been decent for a Monday some big moves. More liquidity would be nice, but atleast they're still tradable.

Switching to 'polling' wouldn't have worked - the 'market' was suspended

The prices weren't updating through into Bet Angel so weren't reflecting the real prices available. So although BA said Birdman Bob was 8.8 through to suspension it wasn't really that price. It was no-offers by at least half a furlong out.

Looks like Betfair data froze 8 secs after race started 14:15:33

Which brings me back to my original question - how come your triggers were still working when the data was not changing unless TPD was doing it which I assume was still working - and how does my log file make no ref to Birdman Bob at 1.01 and your log file does ?
