TPD Feedback and Issues

I've noticed a bug which feels like is slowly growing in frequency. I have a back-up physical PC that I leave on 24/7 purely to run TPD automations.

I'm finding that every few days TPD data on this back-up PC stops flowing and remains stuck until I restart Bet Angel. It feels like this has been occurring for several weeks now.

TPD is connected ok on the affected machine but the 'last update' window in settings sticks on 'heartbeat' and no data will flow.

At the same time my main PC is also running TPD on the same races with no issues.

The issue occurred again today. Just got home to find my TPD connection hanging with 'connection status' = "connected" and 'last update' = "heartbeat". Was working fine last night but nothing TPD has hit the logs on any race all day. To get each race to connect manually I have to hit 'close connection' and then 'connect to current race'. To get all markets to connect automatically as they should I had to restart Bet Angel.

Anyone have any idea what is causing this problem and how to fix?

A few months back this was a known issue, I put some fixes in my side (betcode) to close the connection and reconnect if no data being received after x seconds. Betfair didn’t really see it as a problem and couldn’t even replicate (blaming us for the issue) but as far as I was concerned it’s worst type of bug to deal with as it’s silent.

My understanding was that it was fixed but I am not sure if it ever was (still run the workaround) or if this is related but it’s certainly the same symptoms.

I hope you’re right - it’s been reported several times in this thread and as recently as Nov 10th so they still haven’t got their methods fixed if it’s still happening from time to time.

Doesn't really matter anyway as the Live Video supporting it isn't working so liquidity will be dire.

To clarify TPD racetrack coverage; an up to date list of tracks, with GPS data available to Bet Angel and the other trading platforms, can be found by scrolling down this page https://www.tpd.zone/faqs/

The page https://www.totalperformancedata.com/ra ... -coverage/ refers to the tracks available to corporate entities, Sky Sports Racing et al.

It is a tad confusing, but by and large any TPD webpage with a .com extension will be referring to the corporate arm of the business whereas any page with a .zone extension will be referring to the general public offerings.

Hi folks, I’m into my 2nd day using TPD and noticed that today I am not seeing Position of Runner, Distance to Leader, Ave MPH 5 Secs, Distance to Finish, % Of Race Remaining in my grid view. It also does not show the speed of the horses until the race starts. All of these were present when I used it on Tuesday. Is this likely to be an issue with TPD or with Bet Angel? I have not changed anything in my automation files.

The only UK track on TPD this afternoon is Lingfield. It's working fine for me.
