I think the main issue was not testing them before the move into care homes but that may have been an NHS guidance issue / failure rather than specifically MH's fault.
If they were showing symptoms rhey should have been eligible to stay in the hospital, if not then why detain them? I said 'eligible' because again what do you do if you don't have enough beds to keep everyone in the hospital?
Was it not the case that seemingly dischargeable NHS patients were at greater risk in a hospital than a care home?
That (with hindsight) proved to be utterly incorrect. Care homes are private enterprises. The owners don't give a shit about their clients or employees.
It seems it wasn't MH sending back into care homes from the NHS tht was the issue. The issue is care homes are run by bastards.
With hindsight, what they should have done is transfer them to the nightingale hospitals. Not the best care but the UK does not have the capacity to look after more than 2% of the population and nor should it. Unfortunately, everything comes down to cost, always has and always will. Like it or not, people are expendable. That won’t change regardless of government in power. Your job is to work, pay your taxes, shut up and get on with it.

It is really cold outside; I mean flipping cold. I popped out for a fag at halftime and spent the rest of the break stuck to the radiator!

Perhaps if Cruella was a smoker she might understand why homeless people need tents!

Starmer now praising Margaret Thatcher!

FFS Keir, you're winning in the polls. No need to resort to those depths.

I think I know what you are saying but no business makes a profit from killing it's customers intentional or otherwise! And there is no alternative to private nursing homes. Older people who have to go to nursing homes are effectively taxed at over £1,000 pw in having to pay for their own care if the LA don't help.

What an absolute tit. I just switched on the TV after being unconscious for 7 hours and they're still talking about Starmer's comments about Thatcher.

The left of the party won’t like that one bit.

Starmer: I say to my sister, let's go to the pub for lunch, and she says straight away, I'll make sandwiches.

Make her Labour leader FFS.

One thing I hate seeing in big cities but never see mentioned is hostile architecture, especially when disguised as art. The concept of it is messed up on too many levels.

All symptoms of a failed society. What should be the greatest cities on Earth are the biggest hostile shitholes.

Here's an example. I would ask what process for a large expensive building could result in such a monstrosity?

They should make all Ministers travel by Dinghy, and when they arrive at their final destination to stay in a Tent.

And isn't it ironic that most of these Ministers are foreigners !!! Even the PM.
