Football, Soccer - whatever you call it. It is the beautiful game.

As I mentioned previously, I think Fergie is a bit of a Marmite character - you love him or you hate him!

That might explain why some players spend their whole career at Man U, whereas others (Tevez, Van Nistlerooy, Beckham & Jaap Stam, to name just a few), end up leaving Old Trafford in acrimonious circumstances.

And perhaps the reason Veron was terrible for Man U but did so well at Lazio (under Sven Goran Erikkson) is because he responds better to an easy going manager than a 'kick up the backside' manager!

Most of Ferguson's ex-players speak with incredible warmth about him, even David Beckham who as we all know had several run ins with him.
He also seems to inspire real loyalty in his players, unlike the likes of Wenger who develops players and then can't seem to hang on to them (although to be fair wages may have something to do with that).
I think Ferguson is probably great to play for - just don't get on the wrong side of him! Even Keane didn't last long once he had annoyed the gaffer.

Euler,

Surely, Man Utd vs Chelsea (this Saturday) is more significant.

Blackburn's price looks a little short against Arsenal.

LOL Arsenal are a bloody shambles at the back

I'm not convinced Wenger will still be in the job come the end of the season

If they can't turn this around it will be a real low, Blackburn are not exactly on fire at the moment.

Today was proof that there is corruption at Old Trafford. Chelsea out-played Man Utd totally and lost. Why?

Manchester United were not lucky to win - at least 2 of their goals should not have been allowed. It's disgraceful.

I think we were watching different games - I thought that Chelsea were lucky not to lose 5-1 and have Terry and Cole sent off... :)

Yea Jeff,

But you've got Red goggles - I don't support Chelsea - I'm just telling you what I see. The stats back me up.

http://www.statto.com/football/teams/ma ... /2010-2011 - there is something dodgy about these results. ;)
