Not just horses, even on US Open Tennis the fill rate during the day has been unbelievably bad.
It just becomes impossible to make a decent wage when it takes so long to get trades off

It certainly seems PC2 is taking everyone down - Betfair included.

If you want some contrast, today had a very good fill rate.

I don't have a fill rate calculator, but at Yarmouth it seemed to me that the fill rate was lower than other tracks - is this correct?

It was actually slightly higher but that was distorted by a few very good races. The rest were not great.

I do my analysis after all the racing is finished so I can let you know then. Apart from a few races it felt OK to me today.

The channel 4 races as expected felt normal to me, but other than that seemed pretty poor. Lots of bouncing about without alot of matching, maybe it was me but didnt feel like a saturday at all

I found it pretty tough although my PC was freezing up a lot too which didn't exactly help. There were many large fields today which spreads the volume around alot, I know some people prefer them but I don't

Fill rate was 28% higher on one side of the book today than the other, so that would have probably led to people scratching more orders than normal. That is probably what you felt today.

Long-term, are the fill rates the same on both sides of the book?

There is no yes and no answer to that. It takes me all day to weave an accurate picture for people that is good enough to base some predictions on. So there is no simple yes and no answer. It all depends on what is in front of you.
