I think when Roy said he wasn't concerned about relegation he knew he could stay and get sacked after relegation, looks like he's been "persuaded" to leave early.
I pity any manager coming in now to save Palace.
New manager bounce won't do it.
Roy is very, very, very experienced.
Palace may regret this.

He never endeared himself to the Sunderland fans from day one and never even bothered to try. North-East fans are very tribal and if your not from the area or have no affiliation to the club then you have to work that little bit harder to win the fans over but Beale didn't so it was game over.
Sunderland also have issues with the owner but can say that for most clubs nowa days. Outside the Premier League English football in general is in a sorry state but the Premeir League marches on and that's what it's all about

Everton haven't won at home for over 2 months. Palace haven't won away for over 3 months. Neither side will want to lose.
Draw 3.85 looks good value, or dutch 0-0 and 1-1 for 4.5.

I will look on with interest to see how Glasner implements his high press over the next 14 games.
Palace certainly have the home crowd to spur them on. But I'm very sceptical he can achieve such a change, so quickly and sustain it.

Everton v Palace living up to expectations, both scared of their own shadows and zero confidence.
It is not a good game. They should of announced Hodgson's resignation at half time, at least there would have been something to talk about during the game.Michael5482 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 19, 2024 8:29 pmEverton v Palace living up to expectations, both scared of their own shadows and zero confidence.

Suspend monkey in charge of the City match should be promoted and given responsibility of the most high-profile matches. Only two suspensions well into the second half, and one of them was for a goal.
Not often I've got something nice to say about the suspend monkey.

Nice to hear you say something positive about people that are practically your co-workers, without them you wouldn't even get those markets upDerek27 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 20, 2024 9:01 pmSuspend monkey in charge of the City match should be promoted and given responsibility of the most high-profile matches.
