I have set up a multiple spreadhseet file to work through out the day on the racing, i had a look at it working and it seems that the numbers in excel were updating slowly compared to the actual bet angel screen.
I do understand there is going to be no hard or fast answer to this question but i wondered at what amount of worksheets do other people see noticable drop off in the price updating in excel? Also i am using a very old version of excel has anybody else seen any improvement by updating to a newer version (2002)

I use 10 sheets within the Multiple spreadsheet and am looking at changing the way I go about trading, the simple reason being is that I want the sheets to update every 5 seconds at least, but they only update every 30 seconds or so. It's a nightmare because I need to record the odds as well, which takes up more processor power using Excel.

What i was doing was having a separate sheet for each race of the day where i was playing in running each with it own set of parameters but i found performance falling away sharply so i have now changed my approach.
But i was just asking incase if anybody knew say Excel 2007 worked better with Bet Angel rather than say Excel 2010.

There are two ways to use a spreadsheet with Bet Angel. The first is to use the main app and get Bet Angel to switch to each market. That way it will refreshes that market at the current refresh speed in Bet Angel.
The second is to guardian to connect multiple spreadsheets in one go. Bet Angel will activate any instruction instantly but the prices will only update at the Guardian refresh rate. When using multiple sheets like this your system resources may slow things down a bit so you may have to fiddle with settings to achieve the best results.

When I set betangel to update every 1 second, if I have 10 connected spreadsheets, it only updates every 2 seconds. If I have 30 connected spreadsheets, it updates every 4 seconds. If I have 50-60 connected spreadsheets it updates in excel only every 10 seconds, which kinda makes it useless.
And yes I have restrict refresh on so that in general, even with 50-60 connected spreadsheets, only 1 is updating.
