Hi all can someone help / advise me please with this automation.
I'm trying the DOB with moving exit for the first time and noticed something curious with a couple of my selections. Despite going 'green' during the race the automation doesn't / didn't green up.
The thing is because the ticks bounced against the horse (it hit a fence in one case) it placed a lay bet to 'red' up. Frustrating because the horse(s) went on to win the race and the ticks dropped well below the SP.
So instead of making profit the automation had redded out if that makes sense.
Help!
DOB with moving exit
That's all part of trading in-running. The price will always bounce around and you red-up knowing that the price could bounce back down.paulhyde wrote: ↑Thu May 23, 2024 3:27 pmHi all can someone help / advise me please with this automation.

You have to find a balance between where you get out and where you green, but if you're backing horses at a decent price or laying at a low price, it might be worth testing to see how you do if you took the small risk and didn't red-up, which is often poor value when a race is in-play.

Plus, don't forget there is a one-second delay to bet placement for an in-play horse race. So from point of trigger the price can move significantly in either direction before your bet hits the market.
