What I really mean, is how large a bet will shift the BSP odds... Very roughly. £100 ?

There is very little money matched at BSP so even a tiny bet will move it.

Not surprised by that on the place market. But thought there might be a reasonable amount on win.

£10k win liability is fairly typical (I don't think BF's usual double counting applies at BSP). More done at bigger odds than smaller. Half that in Ireland, 5-10 times that at Cheltenham.

I stopped using it because my rather moderate bets were often 5-15% of the whole market.

You have to remember that if there is an imbalance between BSP supply & demand then BF will go to the exchange and take what is there as backup.

Probably about a year old at least I think, only on major leagues and games.

I had a look at SP stats today and while Betfair don't publish SP data per se - It looks like about 0.80% is matched at SP on racing.
