I was getting better response times last night while trading the Oz markets - that information was going to the otherside of the world - today's has only got to go to London!

still a load of crap(api).
pokerguy its not ba, its betfairs api that is the prob. not digging you out but, going in running on a saturday is not wise due to the continual sticky/slow api.

Well, I guess it's a learning curve for me. I was having a pretty up and down sort of day but was actually nicely up till that happened...wiped my days profit, I'm pretty p1ssed off.

you have to trade different on a saturday. you have to assume the api will go tits up and then adapt, or dont trade.

Yeah, I'll chalk this one down to experience....it's early days yet. My usual sports arbing has gone well so i'm up overall, just a shame that my usual arbs have subbed my bet angel trading today. Ah well....onwards and upwards I guess.

First Saturday I've traded for ages and agree the API was shockingly poor. I tried different modes but was still getting sticky response times. We need Betfair to sort this out but seems as always they don't give a toss!

Betfair response time seems to be going through a dodgey patch again this afternoon. May have to go to bed soon if it doesn't improve - it's late here in Oz with the big race that stops the nation tomorrow!

We popped an email across to Betfair today highlighting the weekend problems again. No response as yet.

Here is Betfair's response.

There were API performance issues over the weekend which were at a Betfair network level.

We are aware of the need for an improvement in API performance (particularly during peak times) and our technical teams are continuing to work on this and have advised that they have a performance release planned for December, we will let you know once this date has been confirmed

Thanks for your patience in the meantime.

API started OK this morning but seems to be slowing a bit now? Keep the feedback coming so we can pass to Betfair.
