Am I right in thinking the key to trading when this guy is about is to use back orders, as his spikes all seem to be downward?

Rhys hows the rigs going?

I got caught in play yesterday, Lost a grand  first losing day in 24 days though.

I'm not on the rigs yet, I have to do a good few courses first, costing a bomb!! Probs take me a few months to get sorted and actually offshore. Luckily trading has been going really well recently apart from the big loss yesterday.

I think it's already making a big difference just knowing I'm going to have a career and something decent to fall back on if sports trading went tits up.

Yeah Jeff,

Get in front of him with a back and try and get a nice Lay position in. Beware the money can get matched fast and send the market in the other direction or the rebound from the spike can be fast and leave you with a lay order sat there!

Ye all that sea survival and that rhys, i put in for them too as i had the cash spare... something i wouldnt mind doing as the moneys ok. Might even end up on the same course lol (if i do it ill probably end up working on wind farms using some other quals i have)

Catching the last of his money can be just as profitable jeff... as long as he hasnt got more he wants on :o lol

In the past they have:

~ Backed

~ Laid

~ Removed orders and not put them back in

~ Not always been the favourite, to begin with it was the rank outsiders which was great as very few people spotted it :D

~ Split stakes up

~ People have pretended to be them

There are other things they do but you get the idea, today they backed it doesn't mean they always will but once you figure out how they are playing it, exploit it to the max as it can be extremely profitable!

If it makes you feel any better, it wasn't a good day for everyone. I had my 2nd worst day ever and the worst for 18 months today.

It's been coming for a while though, so I'm not that surprised tbh.

Ah well, tomorrow is another day.

His name's "Bob". He comes in, bobs the market up and down a bit, then leaves. He can then be found in your local doing the same with alcoholic beverages. ;)

Well I didnt post yesterday as I was just in too upset. I got caught out on the second race he was playing in - I placed a biggish lay just behind the money and then Slam!! I just didnt realise he was around. i was in shock at the size of my loss in one move. Next race I was completely stupid - thinking it was a one off and got caught out with another big lay. Then I operated a back only strategy on the next and got caught on a spike up!!!

I spent the rest of the day doing some nervy trading chasing my loses and trading up to the very last race. Bit by bit I clawed back my losses and ended up +£10 for the day!!!

Will he be around today i wonder - maybe he's playing footie - perhaps its Carlos?!!
