What does this mean?

G'day all, I'm an (almost) absolute noob, but slowly learning bit by bit.
Can someone answer this question for me ...

So I'm on betfair looking at the horses, I move the cursor over a hors, a window pops up and I can see some stuff there ...
When it says "form: 34106" does this mean it's last 5 races were
sixth
not in the top nine
first
fourth
third

On another horse had "form: 421x2"
Does the "x" mean "not a runner" or something?
