The Dutch have been average, so could be beatable, but I'm struggling to get excited about England. We seem to lack energy, but I think it comes from Southgate. He has set them up to reserve energy, be patient, keep the ball and work the openings. Compare that to the brilliant Austrians, with their high energy press.....it's so boring
My suspicions are that this is Southgate's final tournament. He has run of out of ideas.
Jim Ratcliffe was quite open about his admiration for Southgate
Jim Ratcliffe also admitted to having spoke to other managers before sticking with Erik ten Hag
I suspect Southgate was one, with a view to becoming Man United manager after Euro 2024
It feels like Southgate is done. His head has been turned and he wants a new challenge
The players are simply reflecting what's emanating from his body language
Euro 2024
Seems we always get the softest route at these tournaments. Even after scoring 2 goals in 3 games!Euler wrote: ↑Wed Jun 26, 2024 8:26 amEngland’s possible route to the Euro 2024 Final…
Round of 16: Netherlands
Quarter Final: Switzerland / Italy
Semi Final: Austria / Hungary / Romania / Türkiye
France, Germany, Portugal and Spain are ALL on the other side of the draw.
If only they could play well, they would have a chance.
And this is why the higher ups won't remove Southgate. They want him to fail spectacularly to give him the sack. Unfortunately, the luck of the draw protects him.

If only Kalvin Philips was here
UEFA have officially confirmed that Denmark finished ahead of Slovenia in Group C because of a yellow card shown to Slovenia assistant coach Milivoje Novaković.
Denmark and Slovenia finished level on points, goal difference, goals scored and yellow cards shown to players.

Be careful trading the unders markets.
In the U4.5g market, there was around £5k or so when Switz v Italy kicked off, a slug of money £50k suddenly appeared, I watched the build up and then boom 2-0....Someone, somewhere, has an edge! (and it's not me)
