Over the past few months, I've been intensely watching and recording market ladders, particularly focusing on Australian Gallops, with the goal of learning to trade effectively. While observing these ladders a thought struck me, the market operates like a game of football. Just like in football a team might invite the "press" to draw the opposition out of position and exploit it, the market has its own strategies and maneuvers.

I noticed this especially in the early stages of the market around 15-5 minutes before the start. I read in another thread that large amounts of money often appear just behind the touchpoint, and as soon as it does people rush in front, hoping to push the price out. It seems like a tactic to draw others out of position.

I don't see any harm in this after all, everyone is trying to maximize their gains. The key is to identify which money is there for show and which is genuinely there to make a move. Once you can distinguish between the two, you can navigate the market more effectively.

Just a simple overview of mine
