My sausage shaped thumb has had enough of my gaming mouse side keys. I only need 8 keys. Can anyone recommend a mini keypad/keyboard that won't wont send all of the information on my CPU to China?

Thanks

I use a Logitech Stream Deck (15 buttons)
But you can get smaller or larger ones

Stream deck is goated Dallas wonderful suggestion. I planned to pick one up as well for OBS Studio, didn't even think about using it for trading but even just today I thought about using mouse hotkeys instead of keyboard (I use Z/X/C keys rn) to quickly cancel orders.

If I recall they had a high price point but they're very handy beyond trading as well.

For a lower price point option you could get USB to NumPad if you want a smaller form factor with many keys.
You could always remap them. You could get a basic bitch one for the price of a pint, or a better one like the mechanical one for a Dominos pizza order for 2.

Always thought it'd be cool to have one of these bad boys for something, but I'm sure the novelty would wear off after the first day aha

Op what mouse do you have ? I'm imagining a massive Naga in my head haha
PS be careful with that CPU, we don't want China getting their hands on those critical calculations ;)

Thank you for the suggestions.

Eightbo. I have a UtechSmart Venus mouse. Think i paid around $40 some 4-5 years ago. For some reason its been bothering me lately (I think someone moved the side keys closer together) and wanted to order something a little more user friendly for in-play trading. I have ordered the stream deck and one of the mechanical num pads (love the sound of those).

I have a friend who works for the State Department. Constantly warning me about what i buy from where and what i should and should not plug into my tech. I'm probably a little paranoid.

Thanks again.

Would have to be some sort of "cancel all" panic button.

Another option is fancy mechanical keyboards.

I got one of these a few months back in attempt to reduce the decline into rsi -> https://www.reddit.com/r/zsaVoyager/ . Takes ages to learn, still not comfortable with it....and don't think I'd use it in pressure situations for a long while :)... but you can do various macro's etc with it.

I have also have 2x32 Key Elgato Streamdecks that I use in conjunction with Autohotkey....these are the awesomness..

The primary advantage of using a keyboard with macros is once you've build muscle/brain memory...its quicker...
The advantage of the streamdecks is you dont have to remember anything, you can visually see the button you are pressing.
Keyboard is a bigger time/mental investment but ultimately better if you spend 50 hours a week on your puta...

Thanks John.

I'm gonna give both the streamdeck and a mechanical num pad a go. Both arriving tomorrow apparently. I really dont need much:

next preset
previous preset
green selection
cancel unmatched lays
cancels unmatched backs
cancel all unmatched bets

Pretty simple a think. As you said will have to put in some deliberate practice to get used to the things.

Are you still in Cains. Lived there and Townsville about 20 years ago. Had a lot of fun.

You can pretty much do anything with streamdeck in conjunction with autohotkey.... although I find autohotkey syntax is annoying as hell its super powerful... its great...

Yep I'm still in Cairns, its a lovely place until you need to get a job requiring skills :) Which is sorta how I ended up trying my hand at trading.....

I spend too much time looking at a computer screen so I dunno if they'd call me a local....... but Cairns def better than townsville unless ya wanna be in the army :)

I added a Stream Deck Pedal to my trading desk recently: -

It means I can keep my hands free for my mouse and other devices, but also issue instructions to Bet Angel with my feet!

Pretty cool PW. 3 pedals in one. I wish they had all of this stuff back when online poker first became popular.
