I'm ashamed. Chuckling at the witticisms. A person has died and 2 are critically injured. The shooter is also dead (no problem with that).

On a serious note. That’s one hell of a fuck up by the secret service. It could have easily been Joe at one of his meetings. They lucky the guy obviously hadn’t zeroed his rifle properly for that distance being 130 metres. Was probably a 5.56mm high velocity round. Once he knew he was in effect shooting over Trump more than likely readjusted but Trump moved his head. Half an inch incorrectly.

Any knowledgable person would have previously measured or calculated the distance from that rooftop to where Trump was standing or used a rangefinder and then practiced hitting a football type target.

You can buy digital rifle scopes these days with built in rangefinders, you just need to enter your rifles/bullet FPS and it adjusts for you and bobs your uncle.

Very shocking all round though.

I get what you're saying. I felt guilty about chuckling. But Trump has instilled this hatred into the political debate. I am more shocked that the Republicans have accused Biden of ramping up the rhetoric. Good grief! D they not remember Jan 6th 2021 attack on the Capitol? Talk about hypocrisy. Can they not see how their commentary is making thing even worse. Doess noone in politics have decency or commonsense anymore?

Didn't Trump and his family laugh at Paul Pelosi being taken prisoner and almost killed?

Obviously both horrific situations and shows how laughable it is that ordinary citizens can purchase assault rifles.

Just have to hope that everywhere, not just the US, democracy and freedom of speech will win in the end. Looking pretty crap at the moment though.
