I've tried searching for this on here but haven't found it!
I am creating a Back The Favourite bot in Guardian that will store a selection's P&L in a Place market (I will be using it on horses and dogs). I Fix the Order to determine the favourite, place a back bet on the selection in Position 1. Once the event has closed I Store a Value with the Profit & Loss of a Selection (Position 1 sorted in order of favouritism), it works fine in the Win market, however in the Place market this only seems to save the potential Profit, so if the selection loses it still saves it as a Profit. How do I get round this to save the Loss if the selection loses?

Saving P&L for a Place Loser
Dallas, given you can save the result (winner\loser) as a text SV, and that works for all winners in the place market, I'm thinking if you saved your matched price(s) post entry as another SV, you would be able to calculate your P&L on market close ?
Hmmm good thought

Yeah, it's a bit clunky but I guess i depends how its being used. If you just wanted to keep a running total you could just +/- against a BA level SV, resetting your calc SV post market closeDallas wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2024 10:45 amHmmm good thought, I guess you could do that and if only placing single bets on single selections it probably wouldn't be to difficult to set up, but without out thinking through the full steps of the logic I'd imagine the more bets matched and/or selections being bet on it would quickly ratchet up the number of SV needed to keep track of the calculations
