Looks like Sky is still having problems ... I can get the Test Match on TV and my phone (SkyGo) but not on my (Windows) computer.
I imagine companies are restoring to the previous version of crowdstrike. No idea how these systems work. Some of it seems to be on central resources. But if the software goes down to individual computers. That's a nightmare.

I got 14 winning lottery emails and can’t check my winnings……Assuming it’s not a mistake and their system sent the same email multiple times…..

😡

Come on I could have one the big one Rodney.

 Excellent. Guaranteed income and they can't be bothered to ensure the system is resilient.

And you would win hands down. I think unless there's a clause in the T&C's that negates responsibility for third party failures. Then you'd have to sue Crowdstrike.
But I reckon they'll cough up even if it's a huge amount. Good luck! IT COULD BE YOUUUUU!!!!!!! Although the same company was involve with Postmaster/Horizon debacle. Could you be bothered to pursue them for decades?

No I wouldn’t be bothered but I might get my large fury friends in the woods to have a word or two. 🤣

If I had a major OS failure, I could restore a working image of my system partition in 15 minutes. How difficult can it be for a network to regularly image their systems to a server and perform a PXE boot and restoration?

If I've heard/understand correctly, a 41K update was sent out and the file was full of zeroes.

Wasn't there any code to check the update made sense?

I could be wrong but it relies on remote individual machines be rebooted into safe mode, offending file deleted and then rebooted again. Some people will be able todo it but others with no IT support people probably won’t. Some small companies/businesses are going to have to pay for outside help to be brought in. Some will rip them off with high pricing so they might not bother fixing locally etc.

Isn't blackbox a qa system designed to flag up errors?

Ah maybe it's the provider? I'm on Sky, what about you guys? I can't access the website. Server not found message. I'll shut and reopen Firefox.
