My god, where is this thread going. However, some statistics.

As per 2021 Census for Bradford:

61% White British

As per 2021 Census for Leeds:

89% White British

As per 2021 Census for London:

53% White British

So, based on the above official facts, I wouldn’t say Bradford or Leeds or even London had a non existent White British representation.

What is British eh?
Due to the Empire we must one of the apex cosmipolitan, multicultural nations. And I love that.
I think drawing boundaries is understandable but one of the worst things humans have ever done.

The answer most people seem to find acceptable is ''Anglo-Saxon heritage''.

And I couldn't disagree more with you, having seen the utter decline in my lifetime of Blighty; since growing up in the 70s when England was indeed a green and pleasant Christian land with a society that valued subtlety and respect of one's elders and authority.

There are now areas where white people are all but completely gone and now fear to tread. That's tragic by any metric. Not to mention the amount of people here, full roads, lack of housing, shortage of GPs, dentists hospital and wider infrastructure to to serve them.

Us Brits also charged around the world conquering and granting UK rights to some of the conquered.

It's worth noting that Anglo-Saxons didn't breed exclusively with each other. They bred with the Britons, and then the Romans, the Vikings (possibly not through choice ), and later the French after the Norman conquest.

I use to have a Lions Rugby Top which said "British by Birth, English by The Grace of God". That use to piss allot of people off when wearing it in my local pub back in the UK.

Bradford was my local city.

The tension between white British and Asian, or British with recent Asian heritage is horrendous and just plain uncomfortable. Also, Bradford has its own driving rules known simply as "Bradford rules"

I've lived in many parts of the UK and always been amused when people have ideologies about how we can all integrate without conflict. Some cultural differences are just too difficult if we don't manage integration properly. We need immigration, it is essential. But we need to manage the integration. The English are just as bad in how we occupy areas of Spain and refuse to integrate, for example.

The problem is there are racists that hide behind any excuse so they can to push harmful agendas. But equally harmful is people that will tell me my lived experiences are nonsense and that they have never had such an experience having grown up in Exeter.

Well, some good and bad comments.

I guess for some, integration and/or acceptance is never going to happen, regardless of the country you live in.

Canada is no different, but it’s a vast country, so if you don’t want to integrate or accept your neighbours then you can pretty much do as you please, especially in rural/forest/wilderness areas.

I’m pretty sure the local Bears and Wolves don’t wish to integrate with me. Hopefully I can win them over. or more than likely, die trying.

Let’s try and be nice to each other, regardless of politics, religion or football team.

Might be wrong but most staff in Indian restaurants aren't Indians.

The owner of my local 'Indian' restaurant once told me most 'Indian' restaurants are actually owned and staffed by Bangladeshi's!

Absolutely, inaction in the face of inherited inequality is akin to complicity in the original acts. While we are not to blame for the historical wrongs of colonial Britain and slavery, standing idly by allows the shadow of those sins to persist. It is our moral imperative to not only recognize but also actively dismantle the structures of inequality that have been passed down. To do nothing is to allow the legacy of injustice to continue, and in that, we fail to honour the principle of progress and humanity. We must be agents of change, for indifference is a silent endorsement of the status quo.
