Can anyone explain to me how violence against comunities, property and police in London, Hartlepool et al really makes any difference at all to what happened in Southport? Is it EDL going in and stirring up the locals? Is it the heat? Is it just an excuse to let off steam because they feel deprived?

who is *we* - the rest of the EDL?? don't mistake my barbed observations on your drivel as anything other than a levelling of the discourse. I agree that this is/was a callous act and of course, all the worse given the age and innocence of those young kids.

I've got 4 grown up kids and do recall vividly the Dunblane massacre back in the 90's. This sent a similar shockwave thro the country but I don't recall rioting or violence against the police being a factor on that occasion, even tho' the victim count was so high. just trying to connect what the differences were....
