thanks for the heads up... did, for short period, buy both the sun and the daily mail when our dogs were pups. was an easy choice, both those papers tend to be quite bulky with lots of extra content/ads. much cheaper than puppy pads!!Archery1969 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 05, 2024 12:29 pmOn a much more serious note, looks like there is an on-line list of hotels and other places suspected of housing migrants. Obviously I am not going to post it. But that is rather worrying. Some might be but some might not be. But that's not the point. Its on the dailymail website.![]()
Surprised they havent been told to take it down or done so by their own choice etc.

Elon Musk might be in trouble with Sir Keir for whipping up hatred speech with a reference to civil war in the UK.

I seen some on-line information about a weekend of rage over the next bank holiday weekend towards end of August.
I’m sure the Police have seen it. Or one would hope so.

I can't help contrasting the police response with that of K Charles coronation where the police swooped in & picked up just about anyone intending to protest on the morning of the coronation.Archery1969 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 05, 2024 1:46 pmI seen some on-line information about a weekend of rage over the next bank holiday weekend towards end of August.

==> the police can certainly do it if they want to...
They even arrested the "official" protestors that they themselves approved...
I still don't get what the idiots are on about. We have an asylum system. That is subject to international law not a bunch of half-wits stoked by far-right agitators.Archery1969 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 05, 2024 1:46 pmI seen some on-line information about a weekend of rage over the next bank holiday weekend towards end of August.

It's pure hooliganism. But the positive is the nastiest actors are showing themselves. Both at each riot but also online. They think they're beneath the radar of the authorities. But they don't realise they have informers amongst them already.

That was unacceptable behaviour from commissioner of met, needs to be reprimanded and forced to apologise for that.

I think initially the Police were caught off guard. They must see thousands of posts online about potential incidents occurring. With limited resources someone has to make a judgement call. Obviously on this occasion they got it wrong and someone made a huge mistake.sionascaig wrote: ↑Mon Aug 05, 2024 1:56 pmI can't help contrasting the police response with that of K Charles coronation where the police swooped in & picked up just about anyone intending to protest on the morning of the coronation.Archery1969 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 05, 2024 1:46 pmI seen some on-line information about a weekend of rage over the next bank holiday weekend towards end of August.

But I don’t think you can compare it to protecting the Royal Family. Especially the Queen and now King. Any harm, however big or small against the head of state and/or PM would be seen as a monumental security lapse. Rather like someone being able to shoot current or former US presidents etc. Who would want that on their CV ?
Yes, first role of a country is to protect its citizens regardless of gender or skin colour. But unfortunately, the peasants, have always been 2nd class citizens. Your role in life is to pay your taxes, do as your told, don’t rock the boat and die before you can get your state pension.

What the hell was he doing, extremely unprofessional for someone with allot of power to do that.
He should resign his position…
Childish would be a better word. You'd expect better behaviour from a police commissioner, in public at least.Emmson wrote: ↑Mon Aug 05, 2024 2:01 pmThat was unacceptable behaviour from commissioner of met, needs to be reprimanded and forced to apologise for that.
