Yes, bank holiday weekend affecting multiple towns and cities.sionascaig wrote: ↑Tue Aug 06, 2024 7:38 amI didn't take it that way at all. Certainly, based on your reaction, something went wrong with the comms / message...Archery1969 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 05, 2024 9:44 pm
Then why make stupid comments in front of Muslims and press attending, looks very much like headline grabbing and playing up to his SNP base ?
But I see Tommy Dickhead has called for a "pro-UK" rally in Glasgow later this month.

Is he related to Starmer "Dickhead" by any chance ?Tommy Dickhead
I stilll the police are watching rather than wading in. They want to contain rather than get into a ruck/running battle that could spread the violence.
Meantime they are building a picture of who is involved.
TR is very adept at stirring and staying on the cusp of criminality. In his defence he did leave the EDL becuase (he said) it was becoming too extreme and violent.
But asking his followers how bad do things have to get before you do something about it, is pretty irresponsible if you're a decent person. But perhaps/probably he isn't and has profitted from his extreme views while 50% of his followers are potless.

In his defence, he was the first to highlight the grooming gangs operating in Rotherham. And we all know what happened next. That’s one reason he has a large following, especially amongst some women. If you look at the riots you will notice a large number of women taking part. Of course that’s no excuse for what he is directing. But he must have some serious financial help from somewhere and it looks like the Cyprus authorities are only too keen to have him there.greenmark wrote: ↑Tue Aug 06, 2024 9:57 amI stilll the police are watching rather than wading in. If he was at all balanced he would have also pointed out that only represents a tiny fraction of the grooming that happens in the UK which is mostly done by white males (even when considered as a %age of population).Archery1969 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 06, 2024 10:09 am

The Rotherham stories are shocking though - particularly the handling by local services & police - that is where I would direct concerns.
He, as usual, is just pushing his hate filled agenda...
Ta. Far more succinct than the rant I've just dumped for being too provocative.sionascaig wrote: ↑Tue Aug 06, 2024 10:18 amIf he was at all balanced he would have also pointed out that only represents a tiny fraction of the grooming that happens in the UK which is mostly done by white males (even when considered as a %age of population).Archery1969 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 06, 2024 10:09 am

Fascinating how you can read that and think it supports your views. Which I assume are anti-islam and against anyone currently in the asylum processing system. Anyone else you don't like? Oh yes. The govt, the middle classes, anyone doing better than you (pensions!). You're just angry aren't you?ForFolksSake wrote: ↑Tue Aug 06, 2024 10:37 amsionascaig wrote: ↑Tue Aug 06, 2024 10:18 amIf he was at all balanced he would have also pointed out that only represents a tiny fraction of the grooming that happens in the UK which is mostly done by white males (even when considered as a %age of population).Archery1969 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 06, 2024 10:09 am

Thanks jimibit...
He could also have picked up on the massive coverups of buggery, rape & abuse within the church(s). Plenty of evidence there from multiple public enquires but that doesn't fit his agenda as perpetrators were (as far as I can tell) exclusively white as were the folk doing the covering up.
edit - I'm sure if you considered the "church" a gang, the above figures would be scary indeed !

nope, i highlighted the official stats that had been gathered and presented them as a digest. picking one part in particular from your extended version:
Another issue is that the ethnicity of the offender is recorded by police officers rather than self-assessed, and uses broad definitions, such as "Asian".
The 2020 Home Office report found this could result in offenders being classed as "Asian" while being from other backgrounds.
It certainly strengthens the case of over attribution for sure.
