Something I didn’t know.

Dartmoor Prison is closed and all inmates removed due to high levels of Radon found.

It’s not clear if it will ever reopen as the Radon is coming from underneath in the rocks and soil.

That’s one less prison available then.

Put me off buying a holiday home there

I think there's a link to mining with that. I'm in an area that had extensive coal mining in the last 2 centuries (Derbyshire) and we have highish levels of Radon. I'd assume it's tin in Cornwall

I think I read somewhere that’s it due to the granite bedrock in the area. Plus the walls surrounding the prison are granite based.

New prison places have been found by repurposing a young offender’s institution.

So, the rioters will be going there, when convicted.

Police have told sky news that tomorrow is a big day has intelligence shows there are 30 gatherings planned around the UK.

British Transport Police closed off the Underground station as TFL announced the Jubilee Line would not be running due to a 'customer incident'.

You clearly have no concept of the demographics of this rabble. As Michael pointed out a lot of this comes from a sense of being left behind. Researchers into EDL found over 50% were unemployed. Over 50% were in social housing.. They don't have property to airbnb.

me the normal instructress wasn't there becuase her brother was fatally stabbed a couple of days ago.
