And you think I'm a fuckin' twat! Nobody has ever demonstrated their stupidity on this forum as quickly and thoroughly as you.

I think you'll find more people think you're a twat. You are the current king of twatness. But I now realise your game. Best approach is ignore you because you have nothing constructive to say. Ciao (oops sorry for using foreign language hope you're not offended)!

And that would include the pro-putin conspiracy theorist & the guy that thought he could use astrology to pick winners in the horse racing (can someone help me automate this please!)...

At least those two provided some (sad) entertainment.

Not sure what your planning.
😂. The recent posts just made me wonder how easy it would be to poison a country‘a water supply

I don’t think Ricin can be detected easily. There isn’t a known medical test for it. Not sure what treatment works use for cleansing water. My brother works for Southern Water back in the UK. I’ll email him.

I was just thinking all defences are aimed at plain physical ones especially nuclear ones whereas contaminating a nation’s water supply would be less destructive .

Yeah contaminating the water supply has probably been overlooked to some extent. But I imagine its difficult to get access to the treated water which goes to customers. I dont know but I imagine they measure water quality automatically and if something has been put in it then red flags are raised. But I have no clue to be honest.

Here you go.....

You’ll be pleased to know that contamination of a body of water like a reservoir, or a water management facility like a pumping station, with a biological agent would likely not produce a large risk to public health due to a number of different factors, the principle two being:

Dilution effect Due to the sheer volume of water in our waterways and water systems, any contaminant would have to be introduced in extraordinarily large quantities in order to have mass impact on the general population. As some people say “dilution is the solution to pollution”, and the same also applies to some extent with toxins. This line of defence is strongest in our rivers, lakes and even streams and particularly also in our dams and reservoirs, which can hold anywhere from a couple of million to several hundred billion gallons of water.

Filtration and disinfection of the water Filtration and chlorination is the most common method of water disinfection in the developed world and has been identified as one of the major public health successes of the 20th century. Most bacteria and viruses are generally inactivated by the chlorination process, including some toxic pathogens, eg – cholera and the botulinum toxin that causes botulism. However, other biological agents including anthrax spores, are resistant and can remain stable in water for up to two years.

That was a brave move by Ukraine, pushing tanks 25km into Russia. I doubt many analysts would have predicted that.

Definitely seems to have caught a few people by surprise, couple of potential motives:

1. Takes the war closer/greater awareness to the Russian people
2. Stretches Putin's forces again, distraction to potential further incursions by Russia in the area.
3. Large Gas supply network nearby, is destabilising Russia's energy network a target, nuclear power station 40miles to the east
4. Distraction to some other weakened Ukraine defences/losses in the eastern regions.

Putin not a happy boy......Another Russian General about to fall out of a window?

Michael Clarke: First the Russians say nothing's happening. Then they say something's happening but it's minor. Then they go international and say what's happening is disgraceful. Whatever you say about the Russians, they have a sense of humour.

Its a very happy day....

BBC Verify has examined footage of a heavily-damaged convoy in Russia's Kursk region.

It shows many damaged Russian military vehicles left in the road, some filled with injured or dead soldiers, while a few others in uniform wait at the roadside. The convoy video was filmed around 06:00 local time, as seen from the direction and length of the shadows, and first appeared online this morning. The video was not sent to the BBC directly, but it has been shared widely on social media and the Telegram messaging app.

The uploader of the video has been detained by Russian authorities.
