Derek you are and intelligent guy, I just can’t see why you don’t see that £86,000 is substantially larger than £11,343Derek27 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 09, 2024 1:54 pm"Difficult to live on"???firlandsfarm wrote: ↑Fri Aug 09, 2024 1:50 pmThere is no extrapolation, both values are within range. The facts are indisputable, she found it difficult to live on £86,000 while she thinks those on £11,343 have no need for aid! They are the facts and no amount of spinning will change that!
"Increasingly short" <> "Difficult to live on". If I won £10M on the national lottery, after I've purchased my mansion and luxury yacht (if I can get one for less than £10M), my bank balance would become increasingly short. That doesn't mean I'm having difficulty living on it!
One month is hardly realistic. The Tories had 14 years.firlandsfarm wrote: ↑Mon Aug 12, 2024 6:07 pm700 boat people crossed on Sunday … good to see you are crushing the ‘gangs’ Sir Kier!
That's got nothing to do with it. If her end of month balance has dropped by £500, if it's the cost-of-living crisis, i.e. purely down to basic spending on food and bills, pensioners balances could fall by the same amount. She can afford it, pensioners can't', that's the point she appears to be making. I don't think you would see it because whenever a Labour politician speaks, you only observe how it can be negatively interpreted.firlandsfarm wrote: ↑Mon Aug 12, 2024 6:13 pmDerek you are and intelligent guy, I just can’t see why you don’t see that £86,000 is substantially larger than £11,343Derek27 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 09, 2024 1:54 pm"Difficult to live on"???firlandsfarm wrote: ↑Fri Aug 09, 2024 1:50 pm

Just a brief passing sprinkle, but I had to dash in with my laptop and set up inside. Don't fancy taking it out again.

Actually that number was 1 day, not a month. The count announced today is 5,000 since Sir Kier became PM but hey, I’m happy to wait … when do you think would be reasonable to make an evaluation? I’m confident.Derek27 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 12, 2024 8:14 pmOne month is hardly realistic. You cant smash the gangs as many of them operate from countries with no extradation with the UK or the EU.
The numbers will increase during good weather.

So that £86,000 is nearly 8 times greater than £11,343 has nothing to do with it!Derek27 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 12, 2024 8:18 pmThat's got nothing to do with it. And I attack Labour politicians less than you used to attack Conservative. The trouble is Labour are finding it difficult to adapt from being the attacker to the attacked. They are now the target and their errors are amplified.

Bad weather = less boats = people will think plan is working and forget about it
