I don't know either. But over the years I've noticed a trend. Successful managers are compelling when being interviewed, in their own way.
Mourinhio and Pep and Klopp yeah OK. Ancelotti intrigues me. So quiet, undemonstrative. The biggest giveaway? The eyebrow lift.
I wonder (and this is terribly racist) whether he has friends that will make you an offer you can't refuse. Like what's that horse's head doing in my bed? etc
I really don't know but some guys/girls have it. And it seems to translate onto the pitch. Fergie, Dalgish. They all had it.
Ah I still dunno man  I think it's more a cultural thing with continental managers than anything racist. They're used to being interviewed by completely simping men, or supermodel type girl sports "reporters" that never ask them anything difficult or challenge them on substitutions, formation changes etc. It's basically a free post-game interview with no real questions, they know the newsprint media will slaughter them the following day anyway.

A lot of the UK (and Irish) tv media in fairness have good interviewers that ask the awkward questions, I think that's what puts the shits up them and causes the eyebrow raises and the slight look away from the interviewer in a subconscious "fuck off away from me". Fergie and Klopp were able to get through it and still talk but be less forthcoming to further questions, Mourinho took it as a personal attack and went on the attack against the officials, the fixture list, the media, anyone in his mind in the last 7 days

Ancelotti I'd put in the group of just not used to UK type interviews when real questions are asked. Could be mob related too though

So it's now formal, Man City have received 115 charges under FFP regulations. If they are found to be guilty of many their trophies obtained illegally during the period under investigation should be removed from them. Those trophies were obtained with an unfair/illegal advantage and cannot be allowed to stand. If they remain accredited to Man City the Authorities are saying you can cheat but make sure you don't get caught. If you do get caught you can keep the trophies you obtained by cheating and we will just slap your wrists and charge a fine that you will find easily affordable.

I expect Newcastle, who seem to be playing within the rules, will be very keenly monitoring the fairness of the verdicts.

The only way to prevent such in the future is to remove trophies and punish with a sizeable points deduction or relegation as was applied to Rangers.

Looks like Rutter is going to Brighton too now.

One view why Leeds are/were made favourites this year was an assumption that if they "perform" in the same way as last season, then an automatic promotion or winning of the league is a strong possibility. A good example of this is the xG tables at the end of last season.

In reality though, they had a poor start to last season, both Leicester and Ipswich got out of the traps super quick. Even though Leeds hauled them in and briefly topped the league, they ran out of steam.

As you say, the shifting sands of the squad, mainly selling the better performing players of last season, ie: Gray/Summerville and now likely Rutter, puts the expectation of an automatic promotion in jeopardy for sure. They have to replace them with shrewd buys, easier said than done.

The current odds:

Based on the start Leeds made last season (poor) and maybe a similar one this season, minus some of the key squad, then the 3/1 look a lay to back trade for sure.
