Excellent. Do both the betfair website and Betangel work for in-play trading on NZ VPN?
Or is it better to stay safe and just operate through Betangel?
Also, would any of the other trading software API's also work?

Definitely not an expert!! More a hobby for me (maybe when I retire if we can still access from Aus!)
NZ VPN works great on my phone for Betfair, but on my desktop no VPN seems to work I’m pretty sure, well not Nord VPN anyway, so always need to turn it off if I want to see their football match list for example

One more thing if you don't mind. Do you think a betfair account would get closed if someone was constantly chopping and changing between countries? (say Australia and NZ)
Would it be safer to just stay with VPN in NZ permanently rather than go back and forth all the time?
I can only guess, but my guess would be that it’s not something they would ban you for, VPNs are so common these days and thousands of their customers would surely have them on and off at any given time. Only a guess though and others may be far better placed to respond.

Would Betfair allow you to log into Betangel if the VPN was switched on but located somewhere in Australia, or does it have to be completely turned off to be able to login?

Was that the Betfair website you were referring to or BetAngel?
And also, when you logged in, did you have to have the VPN switched off, or could you be already connected when logging in?

I would say the best strategy for me (who prefers to keep the VPN running at all times) is to log in while the VPN is set somewhere in Australia, and then once logged into BetAngel, I will switch the VPN across to NZ and proceed from there.
This discussion has been super helpful and now I believe it will be worth me giving Bet Angel a go as well.
