Stumbled across this series last night and it was a good listen. But also tells you why you need to be wary of lower or obscure divisions: -

Up to 3rd episode so far from yesterday and absolutely fascinating
From a human perspective to see how it's done, massively intriguing.
In the fact a lot of my life has been spent in Croydon and commuting via Bromley's ground, (employers previous HQ was in Bromley but now in London Bridge (think dog that says oh yes or the red telephone)

From my trading/football perspective, a lot of what I do including the lower leagues is "set n forget" predominantly so I think in a way I've already factored in fixing will happen as the results of the fixes will be built into the historic data of my probability model. It will happen, but to what %.

Truly fascinating though, Troy asking all the right questions about it I feel.

I found it interesting, I think leagues that are semi professional or at the lower end of the professional leagues are ripe to be picked. Players get use to cash and figure their career will end at some point and don't want the grind of a 9-5 job so will look for ways to supplement their income to build a nest egg for retirement

3 Were found in the A League last year and I suspect there were more.

I wont spoil it but to me the syndicates didn't try to cover their tracks very well, it was just plain dumb
