Scalping Fav - Unmatched Bet problem.

Hi guys,

I am live testing my Guardian Rule which essentially scalps the favourite with certain conditions. Essentially it triggers and places a back bet and offsets a greening lay bet on the selected horse.

I have run it in test mode and am now testing it live on $1 bets. It is MOSTLY working well and I am having good success with it to date, except for 1 hiccup.

All the preset conditions for the trigger are met EXCEPT for the condition which limits the number of UNMATCHED bets in play. My goal is to have no more than 2 unmatched bets in play to stop the rule from going NUTS and place unlimited back bets before previous back bets are matched by the offset greening lay bet.

However, before being triggered, the condition on Back bets - is "unmatched bets on the current selection is < 3" ( have tried to change the "current selection" to current markets) does not seem to work. I was thinking that it would only trigger if there was less than 3 unmatched bets in play.

At times, I have had a lot more than 4 UNMATCHED bets in play and the rule STILL seems to trigger.



I am obviously doing something wrong, but I can't see it.

I would appreciate the help of someone with superior coding skills to me.

There is a one second delay for bets to hit the market in an in-play horse race.

So your bot is likely still triggering in the time between a bet being placed and it showing up as an unmatched bet in the market.

I have set the condition for my back bets to only be placed with the race is NOT inplay. In fact back bets stop 5 seconds before start time. That works fine.

So the only bets inplay are my lay bets waiting to be matched. These must stay - and they do. So that works fine.

The number of unmatched total issue occurs pre race. So I have selected a different option.

I changed the unmatched condition to " unmatched BACK bet value is less than $". Live testing this today.

How often is your market refreshing in Guardian?

I can't see anything wrong from your screenshots.

There were 2 unmatched bets 1093 and 7230, so guardian placed a new back bet 2252 and a relevant offset bet 2490 as instructed, making 4 unmatched total.

I am trying to avoid having any more than 2 unmatched LAY bets in play. Otherwise I will have lots of back bets in play without matched LAY bets.

But I can't find that as a condition that I can set for numbers of unmatched lay bet.
