Vote against Labour or any council that introduces it at local elections and then again at the next GE.
But you could be right.Too many people can't get a roof over their head at reasonable cost. So they will all be totally indifferent to this.
That can't yet be blamed on the current Labour govt. 14 years vs 2 months. Or as you said 27 years. Blair and Brown do bear some responsibilty. The list of PM's since those two is a catalogue of imcompetent, self-centred idiots (or Truss's as I now refer to idiots). Clegg and the Lib Dems also bear responsibility for hopping into a Tory coalition and betrayed their supporters.
This is politics. Politicians make decisions and we hold them to account.....er.....every few years...if we can remember what they did several years ago.
