Thing is I think there will be an attempt on her life, there is no way one of Trumps supporters isn't going to take action to protect his master.
Nothing is off limits for this election add to the mix that Russia & China will play a part at some point, the election will not end well for the US or the West

Indeed. Sniper weapons are used by pro's to cull. The AK47 is not what I would choose to kill something cleanly at distance.Archery1969 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2024 10:18 pmGreenmark, AK47 does carry a large round of 7.62mm but considered inaccurate at distance. If you fired it at a 30 degree angle then it would travel for upto 1 mile ish. But on the battlefield its only accurate to 300 yards. Most snipers I worked with used .338 lapua magnum or .50 rifles. And for information both those are allowed in the UK by private citizens if you can show good reason. But there are only 5 ranges where they are allowed for target shooting. So if you live in London and the nearest range is 200 miles away then the Police will be highly reluctant to grant. There is no animal game in the UK for such cartridges. You could get one if you can prove you shoot large game overseas in Africa or such. But that would be classed as an exception to the Home Office guidelines on what the police can approve.greenmark wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2024 9:17 pmAlso. AK47 at several hundred yards. Is that a realistic threat? I thought the AK47 was close range. The object being to spray a confined area. It isn't a snipers gun is it?Archery1969 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2024 7:53 pmThe guy is from Hawaii and given his twitter posts a complete nut job. He been recruiting US citizens to go fight in Ukraine.
Trump still doesn’t have the highest security detail, his golf course is huge, no surprise really that someone got within 600 yards.
Many moons ago I got within 50 yards of Chequers, if I had a rifle at the time then I could have easily taken shots at the perimeter police and surrounding buildings.
If you have the right equipment, training and knowledge then you can take someone out from over a mile away. I think the current record is held by a Canadian sniper in Afghanistan at 1,800 meters.
Isn't it relatively quite a crude weapon, very difficult to be accurate? But very effective in terms of the number of rounds per second.

The reason it is so popular is because it’s extremely simple in design and build, yet highly robust in harsh environments. You could submerge it in salt water then bury it in sand and it will still fire with no jamming. Unlike the British SA80 which constantly jammed in Iraq and Afghanistan due to sand dust getting into the mechanism. Thank god the British forces are now implementing an M4 type assault rifle, which they should have done 30 years ago and saved hundreds of millions and no doubt allot of lives due to the SA80 being a pile of shite. The UK paid H&K millions to fix every SA80 (300,000) x 2 times. The original design and concept was produced by Enfield Armoury back in the 1990s. Last one I used in Afghanistan dropped the magazine after firing 12 rounds. Luckily my platoon covered my arse. I believe the UK is trying to sell them but so far nobody is interested. I wouldn’t want one for free!!!greenmark wrote: ↑Tue Sep 17, 2024 11:30 amIndeed. Sniper weapons are used by pro's to cull. Jeez. Your essential implement fails!!!!! That's like a mechanic having a spanner snap on you or a surgeon discovering he has a blunt scalpel. Except someone is trying to kill you.

Yeah, not good. Loads of them jammed too, being used by others. The MK1 was the worst with over heating barrels, MK2 had safety action deploying mid firing and MK3 had the magazine dumping issue.greenmark wrote: ↑Tue Sep 17, 2024 5:58 pm"Last one I used in Afghanistan dropped the magazine after firing 12 rounds."Archery1969 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 17, 2024 4:15 pmThe reason it is so popular is because it’s extremely simple in design and build, yet highly robust in harsh environments. Back in the 1990s they initially cost around £800 but that rose to over £1,700 per unit after H&K got involved. In the end H&K didn’t want the contract to fix for a MK4 version.
At the time the UK government could have bought the colt M4 equivalent for £600 per unit, which was tried and tested.
What a waste of public money etc.
Harris has definitely got Trump (or rather his backers) rattled.

Her odds are gradually shortening. No wonder Trump doesn't want another debate.
She might actually win at this rate.
