Hi,
Do you mean the race names as they appear in on the guardian spreadsheet (in Cell B2 on each sheet). Do you just want to collate all those names into a file saved on your computer or into another spreadsheet?

Hi, thanks for reply. I would just like to have a spreadsheet with cell A1 A2 A3 sayinh
Kempton 12:50
Haydock 13:00
Chester 13:10 and so on. Either download the daily cards in that way in one go or even find a site where I can copy it then paste to excel.? Cheers

Here's an old Guardian sheet that I had, which has about 40 events loaded (I've deleted the horses and my bets etc.).

Go to the EventList sheet and click the Read Events button. It'll run through all the BetAngel sheets and put the event name from each 'Bet Angel' sheet into the EventList sheet.

If this is what you wanted, then you can copy the EventList sheet into the normal Guardian sheet that you use (open both from within the same instance of Excel, right click on the EventList tab and copy to your real sheet).

Hi,
Once you've checked to see if it does what you want, you need to copy the new sheet "EventList" into the normal Guardian Spreadsheet that you use.

So - assume that in Guardian, you open the Spreadsheet called 'BetAngel_Multiple.xls'. You need to do this:
  1. Don't open BetAngel or Guardian yet!
  1. Open BetAngel_Multiple.xls in Excel.
  1. Then from that Excel, also open the spreadsheet "Example Create Event list.xls"
  1. Right click on the 'EventList' tab at the bottom of the screen and select 'Move or copy...'
  1. Beneath the text 'To Book:', change the dropdown list box to 'BetAngel_Multiple.xls'
  1. Click on the tick box 'Create a copy'
  1. Click OK
  1. This will copy the 'EventList' sheet (and the little bit of code behind the buttons) into your Guardian sheet.
  1. You can now close and save both spreadsheets.
  1. Now run BetAngel and then Guardian
  1. From Guardian, open the 'BetAngel_Multiple.xls' sheet and you'll see the 'EventList' sheet is the first sheet in the list. Followed by Bet Angel, Bet Angel (1) etc.
  1. Select the races in Guardian that you want to track. Don't forget to click 'Connect'.
  1. Once all the Bet Angel sheets have been populated with some data, you can click on the 'Read Events' button and it will retrieve the event names of all the events you've selected in Guardian.
Or have I misunderstood what you were after?

Short answer:
BetAngel_Mutliple.xls is in the 'Templates' directory where Bet Angel is installed.
Example Create Event list.xls is the file you downloaded from my earlier post on here!

Official Guidance:
http://www.betangel.com/user-guide/bet_ ... =&sct=MA==

Longer answer:
You said that you are using Guardian. So you open BetAngel, and click on the Green button with a 'G' on it. That opens up BetAngel - Guardian. See picture 1.
One.PNG
When Guardian is open, you can add the markets (click on a market and then click 'add'). The markets then appear in Guardian. Click on the Excel menu option at the top, click Browse and find your Bet Angel Directory (e.g. C:\Program Files\Bet Angel Limited\Bet Angel - Professional\Templates\BetAngel_Multiple.xls). See picture 2.
two.PNG
Once you click 'Open', you will be taken back to Guardian. And, slightly confusingly, you need to click 'Open Workbook'.

Excel will then open up the spreadsheet. Go back to Guardian and click on the 'Connect' tick box. Then swap back to Excel. You'll see something similar to Picture 3.
Three.PNG
If you have followed my instructions from earlier, then the spreadsheet will have an extra sheet called EventList. After a few moments (to let Guardian copy its data to the spreadsheet, you can click on 'Read Events' and you'll get the list!

P.S. I'm tired after a 4 hour drive through pouring rain, only to find my new server (that took a week to build and configure) has died. So could someone please tell me if I'm not being clear with my instructions!
:(

Hi,

I assumed that you have used Guardian before and that you had already played around with loading multiple markets into Excel.

The directory that you have shown is your 'Personal' setup files for BetAngel (part of your Windows 'Profile'. This is where your BetAngel profile is stored (you have created a profile called 'My £10 stk').

The program files (including Bet Angel.exe) and the templates are normally stored in the directory that I gave to you in my last post.

If you still can't find the templates, then they can be downloaded from here: http://www.betangel.com/download/

If you want to learn about Guardian, then please read the online documentation http://www.betangel.com/user-guide/ - click on the + sign on the left hand side, next to the text 'Bet Angel Professional'. Look for the chapters relating to Guardian.

Hello!

Apologies for attempting to ressurect a decade old post. I'm new to BetAngel and learning to trade...

I have been looking for a way to download the days race cards to excel and found this post and would like to try this file 'Example Create Event List.xls'
but it's no longer available. Does anyone have a copy to share/re-post link?

Many thanks!
