I believed Israel was entitled to neutralise Hamas. But I've been staggered by the ruthlessness of Israel and now them expanding operations into Lebanon and beyond.
Are Israel acting on behalf of the US et al? Seems to me this is way, way beyond just protecting themselves from Hamas. That's done, why carry on?
Seems to me that the Israel hierachy have gone nuts.

As an agnostic I struggle with any reference to the Bible, Torah, Koran etc. Maiinly because they've mostly been co-opted by loonies. My undertanding is that Putin went for Kyiv because it is the seat of his religion. ISIL were/are clearly bonkers. Netanyahu is displaying and acting on more extreme views.

My view of religion (though I don't have a faith) is the theory is great. But it's been twisted from day 1 to suit political agenda.

As soon as Netanyahu falls from power then he will be charged with a number of offences in Israel over corruption. There are 4 members of his government who are extremly far right. They are the ones who are pushing him further and further to attack/bomb anyone/country that doesnt like Israel. He has no choice but todo as they say otherwise they will bring the government down and Netanyahu will then be arrested and held pending a court case. By all accounts he is going to lose when that happens, so its in his interests to stay in power for as long as possible.

My god. Most gangs operate out of Turkey. There is a hole street, either side, spanning 1 mile where they will get you on a dinghy. But those people are not breaking Turkish law. Good luck in trying to smash them. Is the UK going to report Turkey to the UN, take out sanctions or go to war ? I think not. Barring nukes, the UK would get smashed by Turkey as they did in WW1, WW2 and during the suez crisis when Turkey nearly intervened etc. The UK licked its wounds and did a runner.
