Seems this conflict is spreading and even conjoining others (yemen/saudi).

We're safe here, looking on. Many, many people have had their life's efforts demolished. It's tragic beyond my vocabulary.

Many will be coming to the UK. Hopefully, someone vets them, otherwise, potential terrorists on your shores.

Iran has said if Israel attacks Iran's oil facilities then Tehran would in turn target Israeli energy and gas installations

Stalemate 💲
Biden: US opposes Israel hitting Iran nuclear sites

Biden discourages Israel from hitting oil fields

Still a Stalemate 💲

Biden / USA has no power over what Israel does or doesnt do.

Are you sure about that?
Everything I've read suggests the US has enormous influence over Israel. Amongst other links, as FFS implied, provision of weapons.

Very sure. The US has told Israel more than once to stop in Gaza and not to launch a ground invasion of Lebanon.

Israel gets around $4 billion a year from the USA. But it has its on defence and arms companies. It wouldn’t miss that money if it stopped.

Like I said, there a 4 ultra right wing members of the Israel government who are driving this and they won’t care what the US or anyone else tells them todo.

I imagine now that all the people taken by Hamas are now dead. Allot of them have probably been killed by Israel with their bombings plus Israel blew up allot of the tunnel infrastructure without searching them for prisoners.

Zelensky's in the same boat - and it doesn't help when Biden mistakenly calls Zelensky 'Putin' at the Nato summit 🤏

I understand Putin's strategy now - 'slowly, slowly catch a monkey' 🐒 - even if it takes ten years

Sky news reporting 1 million people had fled Lebanon.

I wonder what percentage will be arriving on the shores of the UK over the next 6 months.

Hopefully the UK are going to carry out checks on them otherwise the UK might have a number of Hamas and Hezbollah fighters walking the streets!!!!
How you are getting on with 'Smashing the gangs' Yvette 🕵️

What did you say Yvette - we need more 'International Co-operation'

FFS
My god. Most gangs operate out of Turkey. There is a hole street, either side, spanning 1 mile where they will get you on a dinghy. But those people are not breaking Turkish law. Good luck in trying to smash them. Is the UK going to report Turkey to the UN, take out sanctions or go to war ? I think not. Barring nukes, the UK would get smashed by Turkey as they did in WW1, WW2 and during the suez crisis when Turkey nearly intervened etc. The UK licked its wounds and did a runner.

Yvette Cooper talks more BS than Boris. And that’s saying something.
She also talks a 'load of Balls' - same as Ed

"Why is it important to remind people that hostages are still being held?

A particularly stupid question, even by Sky News standards!

I very much suspect they are all now dead. Most of which probably killed by Israel forces via bombing from overhead or by blowing tunnels. The IDF ground forces aleady said they didnt search all underground tunnels in Gaza or in Lebanon before blowing them. They would have used certain incendiary devices which suck and consume all available oxygen out. Anyone in one of those tunnels would have stood no chance. However, you may find that a certain number were smuggled out to Iran, Syria or Iraq. But I imagine their ongoing torture means their probably better off being dead, something, if still alive, they would probably wish for etc.
