Too right. I think we need more happiness and kindness right now.Derek27 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 27, 2024 10:54 pmThat's not weird. Today at mid-day it was really busy. I managed to make it to the central refuge and was pondering how to get across the other 2 lanes. I was waved across both while they both had 5 cars behind them. Maybe I'm weird but that made me happy.![]()
I've always believed if you get to work in a happier mood, it rubs off on your workmates. Happiness spreads.![]()

When I lived near the city, McDonald's was a twenty-minute walk to get to the city centre. Now I'm on the outskirts of Norwich, it's just a two-minute walk to the nearest outlet.firlandsfarm wrote: ↑Mon Sep 30, 2024 3:53 amThat's not happiness when it costs more to get to the McDonalds than to buy the burger!![]()

It used to be open 24 hours. Now they close the restaurant between midnight and 5:00 due to "funny people" spending all night in it.
A few weeks a go I decided that I need to learn to understand Python so I can build better models, so I watched a 4hr tutorial and in that it showed how to make a simple game of Blackjack, which I managed to do. So I went 1 step further and made my own racing game, with odds (book of 125%), it is pretty simple but I am going to build on it.
I know I could have just got chatgpt to do it for me but then I would never learn. So this racing game is my new happy space, because I made it

I was bored a few weeks back. Managed to get ChatGPT to build a test automation framework for e-commerce websites using Python and Playwright. Took 9 hours. The only thing left for me todo was fill in the page element locators, which took another 1.5 days. I’m sure companies would pay good money for the framework. What use to take months in the past can be done in next to no time. AI is rather scary to say the least.andy28 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 12, 2024 10:01 pmA few weeks a go I decided that I need to learn to understand Python so I can build better models, so I watched a 4hr tutorial and in that it showed how to make a simple game of Blackjack, which I managed to do. you can watch the whole launch and return or the booster here https://youtu.be/KN2Im90K6us?si=C2yuE9dJIOemJbvt ... the booster comes through the clouds at 4,395 kph at 6:00 mins and is slowed for the catch in less than one minute with pinpoint accuracy to land it on a sixpence. (Apologies to those not of a certain age but to say to land it on a two and half pence just doesn't have the same ring!firlandsfarm wrote: ↑Sun Oct 13, 2024 1:34 pmSpaceX … the return of the booster was f’king amazing! Finally got my Canadian restricted gun licence this morning.
Off to pick this up tomorrow. Don’t panic, it’s the civilian version, so only semi-auto and not full auto.
As used by the IDF.
Well happy.

Obtaining a gun is not a happy thing for me. We've crossed swords on this before and I know your opinion and you know mine.Archery1969 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 18, 2024 4:26 pmFinally got my Canadian restricted gun licence this morning.

Just use it wisely, chief.

Yes, we have. But as you know, put any firearm on a table, leave it, nothing will happen, it won’t suddenly jump in the air and fire. Only becomes dangerous when somebody picks it up, if they don’t know what their doing and/or have ill intent etc.greenmark wrote: ↑Fri Oct 18, 2024 4:47 pmObtaining a gun is not a happy thing for me. Restricted firearms in Canada can only be used at an approved ranges plus you need secure storage to get them to and from the ranges. You cant use this for hunting, target shooting or plinking on your own land regardless of 1 acre or 1,000 acres.
And no, you can’t have one in the UK. These type of centrefire semi-autos were banned in 1987 due to some numpty, which some will remember.
