I was feeling anxious for a few days when Ukraine was invaded, as it felt familiar, but luckily hedonic treadmill is a thing. It allows you to gradually adapt to the circumstances and normalize your emotional response. I still keep tabs but for different reasons as I'm a history buff.
It can make for interesting discussion though, but I personally don't see the value in being glued to news screens over things you have zero control over.
Like I've said before, my mantra has always been if the news is important enough, the shockwave blast will reach me anyway![]()
